Teton fiber art

A local painter asked me to use a photograph to create a fiber piece for his wife.

Fiber Collage

I have been playing with fiber collage as I teach various fiber art techniques.  Here are two new pieces in progress.  I still need to finish the hand stitching and edges. The bird images are from old postcards I have found. 

Emerging Artist Exhibit

I took a class with Luanne Rimmel on Finding Your Voice in Textiles and it has led me in some new directions.  Opening reception is Friday, June 22nd from 6-8 PM.  I am looking forward to seeing the exhibit.
