Custom machine quilting

I long arm quilt for customers on a part time basis.  One customer, Marilyn, along with her twin sister Madeline create stunning applique quilts which I have had the privledge of quilting.  They are from the same pattern but done in different color ways and always stunning.  They always add their own creative twist to the quilts.  Here I show the quilts and some close ups of the quilting.  Each piece is outlined and then the backgrounds filled in.  It takes me 40-50 hours to do each quilt but I love doing these.  The quilts are patterns published by Sue Garman several years ago.

Retreat - Rambling River

I am part of a group of 15 fabulously talented women from across Missouri.  We recently completed a project depicting a river that floats across fifteen panels.  This week several of us got together to sew, eat, hike and get to know each other at the Shaw Nature Reserve Overnight Center in Gray Summit, MO.  The setting is fabulous and we enjoyed some early spring weather.

Entering the blog-o-sphere

I have decided to enter blogging land and share what is going on in my fabric world.  My intention is to share new projects, completed quilts, techniques and any thing else related to quilting & fabric.  I have recently joined the Modern quilt guild and much of what goes on there is thru internet groups, flickr groups and online so it's time. .  Thanks to my good friend Marsha Bray I am up and running.  Here we go.
