Sue Spargo workshop!
One of my guilds had a 3 day Sue Spargo workshop last week. It was so unbelievable to stitch for 3 days with Sue there. She brought so many wonderful embellishments. I went home with a few new threads. Here is the block I completed. It is 6" square. We each had a packet of patterns and backgrounds and could do any embellishments we wanted to do. I used this time to try out new stitches I had not done and to ask for Sue's guidance.
Lots of new modern quilts done and dumpster diving
I have had several WIP quilts that all seem to be bright modern colors. I had a chance to quilt them over the past several weeks and have them all pictured here.
See the blue rocker - scored that from a dumpster. It will be great for the garden and large pots of flowers
I had this applique center from a workshop. Pulled out my Piece of Cake scraps and finished the quilt

Quilt for Sophia
We have a new baby in the family. Sophia Marie was born March 29th to Jennifer and Bryan. I had several quilts in mind to send her but this is the one I picked. It's been shipped off to Ohio with several books. I know Jennifer loves to read so I think this little one will too.
